There are days
when our bodies and brains seem to conspire against our best efforts
to live
powerfully. Obviously, these times test
our resolve and committment to living fully; but they are also the perfect
opportunity to practice our new skills and our ability to overcome challenge
and be our best, whatever the circumstances. Remember this: Whatever
doesn't kill us makes us stronger - so accept the gifts of life
and challenge accordingly. Resist
our old impulse to duck and hide when we're feeling stressed and overwhelmed;
instead, embrace
what each new day brings as our own personal and perfect set of problems
and pleasures. If something is troubling - that
is our
issue
for
the day and, apparently, the very one we need to grow through.
Illness,
pain, and
emotional obstacles are the stuff of life. We have to be able to
develop power in the midst of these as well as during the easy times - probably
more so! Rising to each occassion reaffirms
that, "I can do this thing" and lends
consistency to your efforts to meet life head on. You have limitless internal
and external
resources
to
tap and utilize in every
type of
experience
-
open your
mind, identify them and
put them in practice.
